The new iPhones were expected to come out in September as it has been with every other iPhone series launch event in the recent past. However, now a new report claims the iPhone 15 lineup may suffer some supply issues. Let’s find out what’s happening and should new iPhone buyers be worried.
iPhone 15 launch: Will it delay?Apple is reportedly trying to slim down the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max’s bezels but in the process, the displays procured from LG are not fusing well with the metal frame. Apple is trying to sort this out but if in case, LG displays fail to pass the reliability test, then it will have to resort to Samsung.
Due to this production snag, a Bank of America analyst, Mr Wamsi Mohan told Macrumors that the iPhone 15 series’ launch could get pushed to the fourth quarter starting in October.

Now, another report by The Information shares these production and supply worries but still expects Apple to bring the new iPhone 15 series in September itself. The catch, however, is that there may be some supply shortages for the Pro models and hence you may not be able to get your hands on one that easily.
Something similar has happened with the Apple Watch Series 7 which got delayed by a month because the production had to factor in its bigger display compared to its precursor.

But again, since this is Apple we are talking about, we aren’t that concerned. It is known to have a strong supply chain. Even during the pandemic chip shortage, Apple managed to power through because of its relations with leading manufacturing and logistics players in the space.
