Meta has rolled out the update of Threads and it brings many features along. This is the first update since Threads’ launch. Interestingly, it offers many features like live translation option, tappable reposter labels, subscribe to unfollowed users and more. But the most attractive feature among them is that you can switch your feed to the ‘Following’ timeline. This allows you to scroll across the posts of users that you are following. However, this reverse-chronological timeline can be changed to the default one as well.
Meta rolls out this feature so that you can firstly read the posts of users you are following. This can be changed by enabling the ‘Following’ option. Let me tell you how to enable it:
Step 1: Open the Threads app
Step 2: Tap on the home button on bottom left or on Threads’ Logo at top.
Step 3: The ‘Following’ and ‘For You’ options will appear right below Threads’ logo.
Step 4: Select Following for the posts of your following users.

That’s how you can read the threads of the users who are following. But you can always change it to the default ‘For You’ timeline, which reverts it back to the feed that is algorithmically developed.
Apart from that, Meta has introduced some more features like the update enables users to personalise their activity feed by applying filters such as follows, quotes, and reposts. Additionally, it introduces a follow button that allows users to instantly follow others directly from the activity feed.

The ‘Following’ feature is pretty useful as the Threads has gained popularity among microbloggers, so it’s hard to find the posts of users that you are following. However, some users are facing a glitch. The glitch is when they reopen the application after switching to ‘Following’ timeline, the app brings them back to ‘For You’ timeline automatically.
