MediaTek has unveiled three new processors — the MediaTek Dimensity 8100, the MediaTek Dimensity 8000, and the MediaTek Dimensity 1300. Both Dimensity 8000 series chips are based on a TSMC’s 5nm manufacturing process. The Dimensity 8100 leads the pack with four Cortex A78 cores clocked at 2.85GHz. It and the Dimensity 8000 sport a similar core structure, but with clock speed differences. The Dimensity 8000 comes with four Cortex A78 running at up to 2.75GHz frequency. The Dimensity 1300, meanwhile, has a 1+3+4 layout with it’s prime Cortex A78 core capable of hitting the 3.0 GHz mark.
Here are all the details.
Mediatek Dimensity 8100 Specs and FeaturesMediaTek Dimensity 8100’s octa-core setup consists of four Cortex A78 at 2.85GHz, accompanied by another four Cortex A55 running at up to 2.0GHz. It is equipped with Mali G610 MC6 GPU (with HyperEngine 5.0), LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.
On the media front, there is support for a 200MP camera and 4K60 HDR10+ Video recording. It also enables simultaneous video shooting from different lenses or front and rear side cameras. Thanks to APU 580, there are some AI-based photo enhancements too in the mix. The display support goes up to168Hz at FHD+ or 120Hz at WQHD+ resolution. The connectivity options are WiFi 6E, 2CC Carrier Aggregation for sub-6GHz 5G, and Bluetooth 5.3.
Mediatek Dimensity 8000 Specs and FeaturesAs aforementioned, it goes for a 4×Cortex A78 up to 2.75GHz plus a 4×Cortex A55 up to 2.0GHz setup. This is coupled with Mali G610 MC6 GPU, LPDDR5, UFS 3.1, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, up to 200MP Camera, 4K videography, and 168Hz refresh panels at FHD+ resolution.
MediaTek Dimensity 1300 Specs and FeaturesDimensity 1300 packs a prime Cortex-A78 running at up to 3GHz, paired with three Cortex-A78 regular performance cores at 2.6GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores at 2GHz. This also supports Arm Mali-G77 MC9, LPDDR4X - UFS 3.1, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, Dual SIM 5G, and up to 168Hz refresh rate displays.
It also borrows many of the features of the above chips like support for up to 200MP, HyperEngine 5.0 for gaming, and AI for photography.
